More about pointe shoes at Dancers Boutique

At Dancers Boutique, we have a close working relationship with our manufacturers, enabling us to be the first to know about the latest developments in pointe shoe technology and design. Every pointe shoe fitter has attended a Ballet Pro fitting course, and has a detailed understanding of dancers and their needs.

Our aim is that your pointe shoe fitting is informative, enjoyable and highly successful. It is an exciting moment when a young dancer gets their first pair of pointe shoes and we want them to feel supported and confident in their journey.

What to expect at your fitting

Fittings at Dancers Boutique usually take around 30 minutes. If it’s your first appointment, we will look at your feet in a few basic ballet positions, and explain to you how a pointe shoe is supposed to feel and fit.

If you’ve already had pointe shoes, we will take a look at your previous pair and talk about what you liked about them and if there’s anything you would like differently this time around.

Whether it’s your first pair or not, we will try on lots of different shoes to get the perfect fit and style for your feet and dancing needs.

Dancers Boutique has been fitting pointe shoes for dancers for 16 years and is proud to stock a variety of brands including Bloch, Merlet, Virtisse and Freed of London.

To be fitted with a pair of pointe shoes at Dancers Boutique, you will need to make an appointment by phoning the shop. Please leave a message with your name and number if no one is available to take your call. Call now
